I began my insurance career in 1989 as an insurance agent with Farm Bureau. In 1994, needing to spend more time at home with our two children I accepted a customer service position with a new State Farm Agency. This invaluable experience re-enforced not just the value, but also the rewards of customer service. Another door opened in 2003 and I went to work with an independent insurance agency. In 2014 I resigned my partnership with that agency to open The Ricard Agency. Discovering the Independent Agency System, has allowed me to combine the product knowledge, company support and commitment to customer service that I hope will set the Ricard Agency apart. We make a living with what we get, we make a life with what we give. I have had the privilege to be a part of the Midlands Blue Star Mothers since my son’s deployment in 2003. Much of my time away from the office is devoted to the efforts of this group to ensure that the service and sacrifice of so many never goes unacknowledged or unappreciated. I am a lifelong resident of the Lexington/Gilbert community. Having worked in sales and management in the building supply industry as well as spending twenty two years with Michelin Tire Company. I know the value of quality and service and am committed to applying those principles to our clients on a daily basis. I am an active member of First Calvary Baptist Church in Leesville where in addition to my responsibilities as a deacon, I serve on the finance committee and along with Ann are involved in outreach and with the hostess team. .  I am a member of the Rotary Club of Lexington and enjoy participating in many of their community service projects. In 1971, after 3 years in the United States Army, I began my insurance career with my father at the Woody Stoudemire Company. In 1989 we moved the office to it Lexington. After 55 years my partner, Nancy Peacock and sold the agency to The Ricard Agency. I am still an active part of the agency and while I am enjoying semi-retirement, I have no plans to stop. I have been a member of the Rotary Club of Lexington for 35 years and am involved in several community projects including Chris Myers Children's Place and the scholarship program at our three area high schools. I have served on the board of directors with the Lexington Chamber of Commerce and served as Vice Chairman of Church Council at St. Stephens Lutheran Church.
